Very impressive micro multiflora! I have a bunch under lights right now with 2 plants having a ripe tomato on each. Some plants are just micro but I like them anyhow! Looking forward to growing the Marsha's Rebel Alliance this summer.

Multiflora's are one of my fave categories, but no Marsha, I can't show you pictures and you know why, but of the ones shown I have grown Rebel Alliance and Zluta Kytice.
If you look in the Wanted seed subforum , for anyone interested,you'll see that Mark Korney asked for seeds of any and all multifloras, I was one of many who answered and there were LOTS of multiflora's suggested. Carolyn |
Reverend Michael Keyes is the only one I have grown (thanks for the seeds, Marsha!), and somehow, I only took one photo of it.

This one makes me smile.
KarenO (husband Steve and a tress from the prolific Rev. Michael Keyes 2017) not a favourite for flavour but it sure makes tomatoes lol |
This is Rebel Alliance multiflora, bred by Russ Aceto, it is a cross of Zluta Kytice X Not Purple Strawberry, and seeds will be in my seed offer which is coming by the end of this week, or first thing next week. That is one single branching bloom spike.
With that many blossoms, what is your fertilizer regiment? |
With that many blossoms, what is your fertilizer regiment?
I do this for all the Earthboxes the same. It's 3 cups of Tomato Tone as a fertilizer strip when the EB is replenished before the season, then 1 teaspoon of Calcium Nitrate, and1/3 teaspoon of Epsom Salt down the earthbox tube, this is added once per week. The Ca(NO3)2 and the Epsom Salt(magnesium sulfate) are both water soluble, the EB has a 3 gallon water reservoir. |

Here's my Rebel Alliance plant so far. Not nearly as impressive as Marsha's.
I've only grown one true MF before (Ildi) which had close to 100% fruit set; RA for me is way lower. Fruit is ripening on the earliest blooms. Seed source: Marsha - Thank you. |

L. Cheesemanii (or so they say, not entirely sure it's true but it does have a rather different leaf type). There are two inflorescences there.

Here is a cross I have been working on for quite a few years.
It is a black, PL multiflora - currently growing the F6 generation |
They are all beautiful;
Joseph - what is your mult-flora? That is some dense set of flowers. DanishGardener - they look really good. Where there is ripe fruit, did you pick a lot already of is that about the % you get. Are they ping-pong ball size? Zipcode - how did it taste? ------ Question - Approximately what % of flowers are you finding actually sets fruit? When I grew Ildi it was extremely high; too bad I didn't think it tasted great. When I grew Goldkrone which is not a multi-flora but IMO pretty close, it was extremely hgh just like a regular cherry tomato. |

The size is around 70-90 gram (2,5 - 3 oz.) some slightly larger than that. I find that the fruitset in multifloras depends greatly on growing conditions (more so than other varieties), and it would be hard to give a %. |
