I like the idea of the cement blocks for a raised bed. I love all the inventive ways of creating raised beds. The blocks can be added to, rearranged or moved as your garden changes.

They look great and still rather wide? Do you think so? This is a great journey!

They are some of my biggest plants, hybrid vigor perhaps. I'm not growing CY this year--just too many others to choose from, but IIRC it was a big plant too.

Crnkovic has one of the highest vigour of OP tomatoes. Also hybrids made with it have high vigour. I am also making some but keeping them at F1 due to qualities that I might not recover later on (also I don't have the space to grow many for a good selection)

Intense heat here, keeping things well watered. Vegetative growth has been very fast. Two very healthy plants and the first indeterminate to open a flower!

Looking great. :) F1s can be crazy vigorous. I haven't grown CV but JF is a great early plant and such a reliable fruiter. Bet you will have a perfect set.

Fruit set and plants below. The fruit truss makes me think the cross did indeed take. It looks more like father Jaune Flammee than mother CY. Plants are very healthy and largest in the garden. Have had to spray copper once, staying ahead of foliage issues hopefully.

The F1 Twins are to the tops their cages already, healthy and flowering like mad. Each plant has about 30 fruit set, the only plant that has more is Sungold. At this stage of development they are about 4-5 times larger than Sungold.

A cloudy day made for a good shot of plant vigor and fruit set. Counted just over 30 on each plant!

bower June 26, 2018 12:44 PM

Nice! :) Hope they're tasty. You will not be short of F2 seeds.

Excitement builds! We’ve got blush!

bower July 6, 2018 12:06 PM

Telltale Beta/- F1 will blush to orange first then finally orange-red. :) Love this blushing time of season.
