Oh you know i jumped right on getting others started and some are up. But any chocolate or colored tomatoes are great.I started chocolate cherry. Last year some one gave me a chreekee chocolate. It was a dark pear shaped that tasted good. But more of a plum meat. It was interesting but want to try the real thing. Only had 6 seeds to plant . And whoops. I hope to have some different kinds to bring. They are nice and cozy. Thanks Susan

Hey Jerry, I want to grow almost one of everyone you are growing that I'm not!! Our lists are similar though!
Really Jerry, I would like one plant each of these if you have enough to spare...Andes Horn, A G Gold, Bl Cherry, Canestrino, Granny Cantrell's, Guido, Marianna's Peace. Earl, same with you!!! I really would like a Cherokee Chocolate. Here is what Tony and I have started. If this is posted somewhere else on the site-sorry-I have tried posting it 2 times already and don't know where it is!!!! Sounds like I sabotaged the YRB's so no one else could grow them!!!! Anyway I have plenty so let me know who needs one. Some of these are hybrids-my auntie wanted to try... Ok, Amy, you're down for a Cherokee Chocolate. |
CHOPTAG Plant Exchange
Checking in to say, I will be at the Plant Exchange. I'm uncertain if I will have anything this year. Katharine and I were just recovering from a long difficult winter here. It was late when I started the germination; I lost some of those seedlings. I helped with all the seeding of the Heirloom Tomatoes at Thieneman's Nursery. Completed those and worked one or two days on my own seed. So many varieties to consider growing and such limited space!!! I will have a few goodies for our tasting for sure!
Looking forward to seeing all you folks! Gary |
I don't know what I'm bringing yet but I'll be there!
|
If you want good growth on the plants, getting close to [last chance] for plants from my list if anyone wants any. Any lurkers out there that's going to stop by? Don't be bashful, speak up. But I'll pot up until day before meet if anyone wants any.

I'm going to start passing plants out to friends this weekend. If you want something, speak up. I will be bringing extras of things to the plant swap, just not sure what will be there if you didn't request it.
I found some nametags out shopping the other day and picked up a couple of packs and will bring those in case we need them. And I'll bring a monster cheese ball to munch on. yrb*** if it's not too late, mark me down for a NAR. Now don't let me take any more plants than I already asked for ;) Looking forward to seeing everyone! |
Hello Earl I'll take a chrekee Chocolate. And barbie thanks for the plant offer. I'll bring you some bulbs. My daffadills are taking over my garden. I haven't decided on the food yet. I am ready to get planting.

Anyone growing any of the berkley tie-dyes? If so, I would like one plant each color. Another tomato forgotten during the starting frenzy. Thanks.

Can't wait...
Earl-I will definitely be there. Not sure how much I will have to share as I got a late start. Toms just getting second set of two leaves. Growing the usual suspects and a few Jerry was kind enough to share last winter that I didn't have space for last year.
Amy- I am counting on your to bring some of your family heirlooms. I could kick myself for not saving some of those seeds last year. Mark:D |
Hello I have decided on mini beef burritos.
I will be bringing black brandywine, abe lincoln, tessi{something greek} moby grape, orange strawberry, mountain fresh. I have a few brandywines . I have sweet colored peppers to bring. TTYL Susan |

Ok, Amy, you're down for a Cherokee Chocolate.[/QUOTE] Hey Earl, I just now checked the date of the shindig. I'll try to make it--I was supposed to be in Columbus until Sat. afternoon, but will try to leave early. My tomatoes are puny; I started them about two weeks ago, and they just have their first true leaves. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Ken |
