Me, too.
So far Steve Goto is the only one offering tomato tasting in southern California:

August 24, 2013 at Rogers Garden, Corona Del Mar, CA, 9 AM
August 31, 2013 at El Plantio Nursery in Escondido, CA , 10 AM
September 7, 2013 at Anawalt Lumber in Los Angeles, CA, 10 AM
September 21, 2013 at Plant Depot in San Juan Capistrano, CA, 10 AM

Does anybody else in southern California offer tomato tasting?

I should get a decent harvest this year, I've got a bunch of marble sized Romo's and a ton of blooms right now. Here is a pic of my raised beds a few weeks ago, before the hot weather. The heat really sent the plants into a high growth mode this past week, they are all well over the top of the cages now...

Those beds are oh so cool and very crisp and clean.

From Cerritos/Long Beach Area, I close enough to OC.

Anyone trying Tomato Grafting varieties in Southern California?

Not me, but that's next on the list. Great pics Baja!

Please Change the Thread to Southern California Thread.

We should include LA County, San Gabriel and the Valley!

Everyone should bring friends to the thread!

Anyone can post in the thread, vodreaux. Very nice garden boxes, Baja Traveler! We are in the midst of a big move so I could not put in a big garden. I have 8 tomato plants, a couple of peppers, swiss chard holdover and a squash. Hoping to get some ripe tomatoes before we go.

Tomato Tasting & Sizzlin’ Summer Salsa Contest
August 3rd, 2013, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m
"We ASK people who have purchased tomatoes (hopefully at the tomato sale) to bring some of their homegrown tomatoes (labeled by variety) in to be sliced for tasting. That way, people can sample varieties they may not have grown & decide to purchase them at the next sale. It also provides people the opportunity to taste & see the differences of each variety. We ask people to vote for their favorite tomatoes in each category, Cherry, Paste & Slicing & the winning tomato varieties will be posted on the website the following week."
