Thank you very much everyone, white Ibiza is one of my favorite tomato storage, I still have tomatoes from last season, vigorous plant, very productive and very good taste.
Karen for the lattice I use construction mesh, and then an independent rope to each one of the tomato plants, I will send photos. I send a photo of the web. Vladimír is mesh antihiervas are very resistant polypropylene mesh that block the passage of light, thus preventing the appearance of weeds and permeable to water, use black plastic other years, but apart from being aesthetically ugly they put a lot of heat to the ground cracking the earth regards Nico |
White Ibiza has been the earliest of all the tomato plants I have, in optimal conditions can be stored up to a year, logicamante over time is losing flavor, but I prefer to eat tomatoes culltivados for me throughout the year to eat the tomatoes sold in Large stores and lacking flavor.
In Spain it is very traditional to eat tomatoes spread on toast or simply rubbed on bread accompanied by extra virgin olive oil. The ramallet or tomato storage are very typical of the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, each farmer has its own seed that is saved generation after generation |

What does Indigo Drops taste like?
Donna, Texas Gulf Coast |
Thanks for posting all these nice pics, Nico! I'm growing about 10 Spanish varieties this year and was amazed how big the stems of the seedlings were, compared to other seedlings.
Thanks also for your infos! Now I know what "Ramallet" means! |
You have a very lovely set up. Thank you for sharing this with us.
|
SpookyShoe I have not yet tried the indigo drops, I think it is not yet mature.
Comment that it has been the earliest tomato of more than 100 different varieties that I have, when I try it I tell you regards |
Clara, I'm glad you have Spanish tomato plants, there are very good varieties that have not yet been discovered, what varieties do you have?
Thanks greetings |
MissS, thank you very much, I will continue sharing photos with all of you

Good evening, I have several aztec yellow cherry, my humble and short experience tells me that Aztec is a strong plant, it has been one of the only ones that have survived the unusual cold of this year, plant many varieties and they did not resist the cold however aztec resistio very good.
regards Nico |
Nico, did the KARMA Pink survive?
|
Hello Marsha! Of course KARMA pink survived, they are almost recovered, I have 5 plants in the garden and I have taken two more of the pacifiers to put them in containers to see how it behaves in containers, soon I will send photos of KARMA pink.

Some pictures of my Spanish storage plants (ramallet)
|
Nico they look strong and healthy, so glad for you. I love how you put the name in the color of the fruit.
That Rebel Alliance is just getting started, you are literally going to have over a thousand blossoms on a single branching truss. It is a brown heart shaped cherry, and about 1/5 of the flowers will set fruit. |
Is mallorquin pequeno different then mallorquin pequenito?
|
Hello! , I think it's the same, but the real name in Spanish is Mallorquin pequeño.
|
The correct name is -Ramallet Mallorquín Pequeñito (Multiflora ) - Baikal

Vladimir, that is what Baikal wrote on mine, too.
Nan |
Hola! pequeño, pequeñito o pequeñín viene a ser todo lo mismo en español, pequeñito viene de la palabra pequeño y el sufijo -ito.
El motivo el cual se le puso el segundo nombre de pequeño o pequeñito fue para diferenciarlo de otro tomate Mallorquin de la zona que no tiene nada que ver con el Ramallet Mallorquín Pequeñito. |
I do not know if I explain myself well, my English is not good.
We use two languages here, small means: adjective related to size, pequeñito also means the same. good day |
Spanish has two forms of the past, the imperfect indicative and the past tense, while English has only one form of the past.
Spanish has two forms of the verb "to be" (being and being) while English has only one. Spanish has more flexibility in the order of words than English. This flexibility of order provides the Spanish syntactic with more matrices of meaning. Specifically, the position of the adjectives, before or after the noun that it modifies, can change the meaning. Spanish uses the familiar form in common conversation while modern English does not. In Spanish nouns, adjectives, and adverbs have diminutive and augmentative forms. |
