Do any from here think they will attend? We will have many local gardeners and master gardeners. |
This sounds like such an amazing event. Wish they had something like this here in southern CA.
Its a great deal of fun. Come on down! Hahaha.:) |
Giving this announcement a bump. People are starting to show lots of interest.

I'm still planning on coming. Thinking of bringing ADJARSKI Pepper plants for the swap.
|
That's great Barb. I am excited to see you again.:) We wont have that kind of pepper without you, so that sounds good. I am going to have several Enjoya striped pepper plants, and the usual 104 or so varieties of tomatoes. Plus lettuces, basils, other more common peppers. Many bring their ornamentals too.
|
For those attending, a dish can be as simple as pre packaged cookies, lol. We aren't picky!
|
I'm in! Looking forward to meeting everyone! Should I bring full-sized plants or those ready to be potted up that I've started for fall?
Ginger - I may bring a fellow gardening friend or two, will e-mail you when I confirm with them. May also bring food if I'm feeling ambitious that day. : ) |
Hi Audrey, glad to hear you are coming :D we usually bring 5-7week old seedlings, ready for transplant your gardening friend and and others are welcome too. And if you get ambitious to bring a dish, all the better.

I can't wait too.
The plants are being driven to the site this morning, and are arranged alphabetically according to my grow list. Karen, I wish you could go too. |
Holy cow. I just tuned in after my summer tomato hiatus and sure am glad to find out I didn't miss this! I gotta figure out what to bring. :-D
|
Oh Cool, glad you are coming. :) Bring anything, but I can tell you we are heavy on the desserts. Bringing plants good, but not entirely necessary, there areally a few hundred. Glad you tuned in!!!
|
I just started my winter garden seeds today, so I don't have any plants to swap. But I will bring lots of seeds, some cuttings and non-dessert food. Yay!
|
Sounds great. I am looking forward to meeting you.:)
|
Have a great time today.
Have a great swap today, weather looks fabulous for today.Maybe scheduling will work next year.I am battling with the complete change of all our gas lines in the whole city of Cutler Bay.That includes all the main lines in the streets and all feeds to houses. Our street and yard looks like a war zone.No more metal conduits all new space age composites.Have fun and a great outing.
Thanks, Kurt. |
Just wanted to thank Marsha again for the fabulous Plant Swap she hosted. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of plants.
People brought all kinds of plants to the swap. I brought Ajavarski pepper plants that were sowed on 9-1, 9-9 so they were small and all were taken. And of her hundreds of tomato plants pictured above, EVERY SINGLE ONE was gone. I was proud of myself to only acquire 2 more tomato plants. I haven't even transplanted all of my own. If you are within driving distance, I highly recommend this event. |
Thanks Barba it was great seeing you and meeting your DH yesterday. I just can't get over it, every single plant of about 400 tomato plants, and every pepper.
What a Crowd! I think we had 80-90 people. Someone else took photos, I didn't have time. Too many desserts, I need to spend a few hours at the gym now. |
