CASEY'S HEIRLOOM TOMATOES
I really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful pictures. Fabulous.
One minor thing I noticed was that Hay's Tomato and Russian 117 both have the same photo. Terrific job on the catalogue. Neil (Canada) |
Absolutely marvelous Jeff.
It is just wonderful how you can grow all of those nice vegetables in your zone. I know from the pictures a lot of work goes into it. Very nice. Worth |
Hi Neil,
Thanks for pointing out my little photo mix-up. I have hopefully fixed it. Thanks for the kind comments from both you and Worth. Jeff |
Wow!! You've done a wonderful job, Jeff! Lovely pics and glad to see you mention so many of our friends here at T-ville and the varieties they've shared. Good work! :)
|
Jeff, as usual a great listing and some wonderful new ones as well.
I hope you don't mind my making a few comments as I scrolled through the varieties. Green Doctors; Amy represented to me that it was she who found it in her garden but Victor did suggest the name. Sara's Galapagos; I had asked Amy to bring me back some S. cheesmanii seeds from the Galapagos but what she did was to send me a package of fruits on the vine after she got home that she somehow got thru customs. LOL I just took some seeds out of some fruits and without even fermenting them got them going so I had plants that year. I was the one who contacted Dr. Chatelet at UC Davis and he didn't determine it was a stable interspecies cross, rather, knowing the island it came from, as I told him, he suggested it was probably a stable interspecies cross. Orange Minsk, delighted you're offering it, yes I am, a new fave for me Ludmilla's Red PLum; same comment as above Maya____________ You asked me who bred the various Brandywine X early varieties such as Stupice and Glacier and the others and I told you it was Stanley Zubrowski from Saskatchewan, but you forgot to add that to the blurb. LOL Morasky Div, I don't know if you got the seeds from Andrey or me and you didn't have too much to say about the taste but I absolutely LOVE this variety for its taste and yield as well. Keep up the great work. |
Thanks Carolyn.
Neil (retiree) alerted me to the missing name...FOr some reason I did not update the info you had sent me...too many pots on the stove I guess, lol. I will add in your other suggestions ASAP. Thanks as I am always open for comments and improvements, Jeff |
What a beautiful catalog. I am impressed every time I see it.

I should have added....I hadn't noticed the pics and info about his gardens until tonight, that's also very nice!
:) |
Really nice pix. I was trying to order Big Sungold Select on line but system keeps putting a different tomato in my cart! Will try again tomorrow. :) Linda

Great Catalogue
Hello Everyone |
Thank-you very much for all your kind comments. I have been working very hard to get my 2012 catalogue put together. Between the catalogue and my new website things are not moving along as quickly as I thought they would. I am hoping to have the catalogue up by the end of this month and should have all of my seeds available and packaged by the end of next month..

Funny, the link won't let me in..XX Jeannine

I know how hard it is to open a New Web-site. I am a Heirloom Farmer with a very new Web-site.
http://angelfieldheirloomtomatoes.com Many of my Customers are have problems using Pay pal account, Since we are at the end of our this season, I pray that we have all problems solved before next season. |
Beautiful mouth watering tomato pictures. Including some harder to find seeds
Just place my second order this year. Now I need a bigger garden!! Thanks for accepting Paypal. I know they gouge you on the fees but it makes ordering blissfully easy. The color tomato pictures on the seed packets are nice touch. And the number of seeds is generous. I wish I could order everything from you. I hope in the future you might have Tarasenko6 seeds. |
Jeannine,
Here is a current link to Jeff's catalogue: http://caseysheirloomtomatoes.ca/Caseys_Heirloom_Tomatoes_of_Airdrie/Tomato_Seed_Catalogue.html Jeff, A beautiful catalogue with interesting and informative descriptions! Great job! Steve |
HI Steve and Parah,
Thanks so much for the kind comments, greatly appreciated. After a few HTML code cut and past between by website and Paypal, I think my site is running without any errors. Jeff |
Fellow Tomato Growers,

excellent website and have been on it a long time ago. Could you tell me something about Taupo OP? If it was the sweetest in your 2010 garden, what was it compared and going up against? Was Bulgarian Triumph going up against it? I know you grow B.T so wanted to ask. thanks
|
Jeff,
I'm absolutely in love with Maya & Sion's Airdrie Classic. It's been a truly early, very tasty addition to my garden for three years now! It's on my "grow every year" list. Thanks for posting the 2013 catalog. I look forward to viewing it. |

I look forward to viewing it.
And I want to thank Jeff personally for working with the F2 seeds that he got from me, gee, it has to be pre 2005 since I think the last time I offered all 5 crosses that Stanley Zubrowski did, the Stupice one being one of 5, Jeff is the only one I know of who worked with that cross to stabilize it and I know there are many who do love it. What Stanley did was to cross Brandywine with several early varieties trying to get some taste into early varieties most of which aren't really know for great taste. And Jeff, I did take a look at your 2013 offerings. I can't remember, but was Cuore del Drago one that I sent you for trial? I don't have my data book by me here at my conputer to check. Initially I was disappointed to find it wasn't a heart as the name implies, but when I checked with the person who sent me seeds she got the same , sent me a picture, and someone she knew paid lots of lira when the person bought the seeds in Italy.:) Will send you a PM with some other comments.;) |
Jeff,
Beautiful and classy catalog with an excellent selection of both new and classic varieties. Great job! Steve |
Jeff, I got my seeds in today. Thanks for your quick service

In terms of Bulgarian Triumph, I would say that BT is sweet with more tomato flavour behind it. I went back to my 2010 grow out list and here it is: Mr. Stripey Elizabeth Stafencisk Early Siberian Elberta Peach Andrew Rahart’s Jumbo R Bloody Butcher Stupice Sweet Tumbler Sweet Adelaide Neves Azorean Red Milka’s Red Bulgarian Green Gage Jaune Flame Guernsey Island Sugary Yellow Kellogg’s Breakfast KBX Big Sungold Select Lucky Cross Black Zebra Sohpie’s Choice Medvaya Kaplya Zogola Taupo Casey’s Pure Yellow Evergreen Vorlon Cherokee Purple Black Plum Carbon Kosovo Novikov’s Giant Tommy Toe Mano New Big Dwarf Lescana Beef Martino’s Roma Lyana Maya and Sion’s Airdrie Classic Goose Creek Vendor Variegated Stick Green Zebra Cherry Perhaps I should have clarified that I was comparing it against non-cherry tomatoes and hybrids. I hope this helps. |
Hi Steve,
Thank-you very much for your kind comments as I greatly appreciate them. Jeff |
Placed an order (had to pick up the new dwarf) and was pleased with your ordering system. Disappointed that I couldn't get M&S Airdrie classic, though. :(
