Yellow Corno di Toro
 

I'm working on my sweet bell list for next year and saw Yellow Monster Sweet pepper and was thinking about getting it and then started reading reviews and seen post that Yellow Corno di Toro was about same size and much sweeter than Yellow Monster.

Has anybody grown Yellow Corno di Toro before? Your thoughts on it?

If it helps your decision and since you are looking at next year, I'm growing Yellow Monster now (plant is young and no buds yet) but if I get peppers, I can give you YM seeds.

Both the yellow and the red are good productive peppers but they are not anything like a bell pepper.

Good to know. :D I realize that. Been looking at different sites for bells and of course I have to look at all the eye candy. Getting some other things in case I have another year of no success with the bells at least I will have something to eat. I grow alot of hots and they all go to other folks as they usually to hot for me to eat. I grow for the enjoyment of seeing the plants and sharing, but next year I will grow some hots, but want to enjoy some peppers myself . Gonna be a bit greedy. :oops:

Corno is the second sweetest I have tried. The crunch sweet orange I thought was a bit sweeter and a lot more prolific.

Thanks for chiming in. I'll be getting several kinds of peppers and will add the Crunch Sweet Orange to my list. :D

I'm growing a hybrid of a yellow corno di toro thus year- "mama mia" from tomato growers supply. Very prolific, huge plant; I've plucked at least a dozen thus far and it's still loaded. It's the one closest to the camera in this shot:

I had Golden Treasure this year. It is very similar to Corno di Toro Yellow. I like them both.

I like Golden Treasure, as well. Very productive plants.

My sweet peppers this year. The best was the Spanish Najerano Rojo.

Some nice looking peppers there Vladimir! :D Really love the looks of Corno di Torro Orange. Thanks for chiming in too. :)

I grew literally hundreds of sweet peppers and Golden Treasure is one of the best. Of course part of its charm for me was earliness. It comes in a couple weeks earlier than Yellow Corno peppers and was more productive and sweeter...A great pepper.
