Fall seed swap?

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting for a fall seed swap. Maybe at a nice restaurant.

where in ohio? depending on when and where, I might be interested.

Thomas October 28, 2007 10:23 AM

Yes in Ohio. If we could get a few to reply we could figure out when and where.

depending on where and when, I may also be interested in heading south of the border.

We’ve tried each year to do a seed swap. Sometimes we were successful sometimes not.

The holidays get in the way sometimes.

I’d be up for it. You might want to just pick a date and a place and see who is available. If you try to solicit dates and places you’ll drive yourself nut.

If I had a date and maybe a location I would see if I could make it.

Hey Jerry I was thinking that you or Earl would take care of all the planning :dizzy: :?: Just kidding....I can understand that alot of folks are getting ready for the holidays..and when I think about, there was alot of seed swapping after the tastefest..but.......how about Sun. December 2nd. in Columbus OH at....ok here is where the ladies come in..where to meet and eat?

I figure if we make it in central OH we can pull some more northern materheads in.

WHOOOO HOOOOO More seeds. I think I need Re-hab.
Why don't we just do it at a restaurant? Then no one has to bother with food and we can just have fun with seeds.
Columbus is much better for me. Only an hour and a half opposed to 4 for Cincy. (Cincinnati for foreigners LOL )
If the restaurant idea is ok we can find something everyone likes. Me personally, I don't care, I'm coming for more seeds I don't need.

I could reserve a spot at a nice all you can eat spot...that way there will be more of a choice to eat or not to eat.

Is our Seed party a go?

Thomas,
A seed share meet sounds fine, but with gas prices going up up up there may not be many to attend from to far away. Could be a $30 and up gas cost to some of us. Could be $10 a gallon by meet time. :-)

I've got a suggestion. See how many folks you can get to commit to a meet and if enough do, have it.

For those that can't make it, we could start a seed share thread and CHOPTAGers could post what they have to share and other CHOPTAGers could contact by email and figure out the arrangements for sharing.

It may be even more feasible to have two meets, one in the north and one in the south. Just throwing out some thoughts.

I can commit to the swap as I will be in full withdrawal from the garden by then and will need a fix:lol::lol:

Thomas November 3, 2007 09:18 AM

OK, where do you wanna meet?

Dave_Z6 November 3, 2007 10:37 AM

Sounds good to me.
Is it Dec 2nd for lunch ?
Dave

Well, Columbus is easier for me. I will go along with whatever you guys decide. I'm being Switzerland here.
