Ms Carolyn First to Arrive

We've had a long cool spring here in Louisiana, and with no complaints here. I ate my first tomatoes today, from Ms Carolyn. They were first to mature. First time for me to grow it, and I must say a very nice flavor indeed.

I''m assuming that's the variety Dr.Carolyn, which was NOT named by me, as Tania notes

And yes it does have genes in it from Galina's Yellow, which gives it that extra good taste in the opinion of many.

Galina, was one of many that Bill McDorman got in Siberia, see link below, put them up for sale and Craig L and I bought all of them and then split the packs between us. And then SSE listed all of them so others had access to them as well.I think we may have also discussed them in an International Newsletter we were doing at the time called Off The Vine.

I'll dig out the seed pack later to find the source. Probably Tomato Grower's Supply.
