Hi, Father'sDaughter,

I have few seeds of Violetta Lunga eggplant. Planing to grow this variety. Is it sweet or bitter one? I know how to take care of the bitterness, just not sure I want to grow one that is bitter.

thanks
I would put this one in the rich, almost nutty flavor category. It's much denser than the big, bulb shaped eggplants, which for me is another plus.

Thanks. How many plants of this one you normally grow? And do you grow them in containers? Sorry, so many questions.

I usually grow four plants as I'm limited on space. They will not produce as much as the other/hybrids reportedly will, but I like them better and there are only two of us, so four plants give me enough for a few jars pickled and then some to eat.

Sounds good. Thank you.
