1927 Stark's

I found a 1927 Stark’s catalog a while back and saw this new variety.

I’m guessing it wasn’t as big a hit as the ad claims since I can’t find anything about it with a Google search.

Back in the 60's and early 70's my dad would always get the Stark Bro's catalog.
Soon there after we would get a big shipment of bare root trees at the house.
Next we would be digging holes and putting in a small orchard.
One of their apple trees was one they advertised that one apple would make a pie.
My dad ordered the thing and sure enough the apple was huge.
I miss the old Stark Brothers along with the old Fagen stocks and stock blanks for rifles.
Thankfully a guy named Wenig bought them out and moved up the road.
