Looks fantastic.

Has anyone ever had a BBT bacon basil and tomato sandwich?

Yes, and after the first one, I had about two more that same day. And now the count is beyond recollection. It has become my normal. Lettuce and basil seems somehow less tasteful and totally redundant. The basil at least has its own flavor.

Over the years, I've had every kind of lettuce I could get my hands on - iceberg, romaine, leaf, and various others. The first basil was one of those "Ah Ha" moments.

Thanks, because that is what I am having today made with homemade semolina bread and home drown basil with a Cherokee purple and homemade bacon.

Your honesty and your outstanding skills at homemade food is somehow cruel to those of us who have not had an honest to goodness home grown tomato so far this year. :P

It is the only home grown tomato I will get from my small three plant garden this year so I figured I better go all out on it.:)
The process is in the cheap eaten thread as it progresses.
If the bread doesn't turn out I will make another loaf. ;)
