citronella plants

I have been growing citronella plants in pots and moving around the patio. Is the least expensive and most effective way of warding off mosquitoes that I have ever come across

Oh, I want to try that! It really works for keeping the mosquitoes away? Because let me tell you, they love me! Where do I get a citronella plant? Can I get seeds? Tell me more, tell me more.

I had some a few years back and for me they only worked if you were standing right next to the plant. Did'nt seem worth the price IMO.

Maybe they would work better if you pinched off a leaf or two and rubbed it on your clothing/skin. I had some citronella once, and the flowers were really pretty. They're worth growing just for looks if you have the room.
