Dried out seed cells
Hi all,
I seeded some cells a couple days ago. Nothing up yet. Today I found the mix in the cells completely dry. Yesterday they were not dried out. I bottom watered. My question is, did I lessen the chance of the seeds sprouting? These are quite old seeds and I can't afford to do anything to upset them. TIA, Nan |
I think you should be fine. It isn't as if the seeds were dry for many days. From the sound of it, the mixture was only dry for a number of hours. I wouldn't sweat it.

It's hard to tell if any damage was done. If the seeds germinated already and the root dried up then they are done. If they were still incubating, then you might be okay.

Maybe I ought to re-seed. I'm doing a germination experiment and I might have skewed the results.
