I posted this just a few days ago.

(On the farm where I grew up the uppermost greenhouse on the west side got sun from about midday onward. And there was a whole row of it maybe 30-40 ft long.)

So no sun in the AM but sun all afternoon,and it thrived under those conditions.

Mine was planted in full sun in clay. My mother's was in full shade with light loam. It isn't very fussy and will grow most anywhere.

So some place in my yard is a spot for this retched beast.,

At the farm, horseradish gets dug in the spring as an incidental crop that happens when weeding and prepping the near by beds... yep it does like the rich soil there.
This is how I got a piece to plant, but now in a second location, only one shoot coming up of the half dozen I started with, and it's still wee small. :surprised:
I suppose I should try a third location, three's a charm right? ;)

I grow mine in a pot so it doesn't get out of hand. There is one running around by the compost pile I cannot get rid of. :evil:
