2020 plantings. Dear Folks, This may be too early for most, but late December 2019 is the time to start if one wants to get an early crop in the garden to beat the 2020 heat in Austin, Texas. Using commercially-sold soil-less mix in cups that hold three-and-a-half ounces. Burned small holes in the bottoms of the cups with red-hot nail. Three seeds per cup. Front row is hardy rootstock. Everything is under LED and over heat mat. Here's hoping for good germination.

More 2020 Tomato Soup

Dear Folks, Here are a few views of plants from those seeds, shown in the post above, planted on December 28, 2019 in Austin, Texas. Also a few grafts, that seem to be taking. Uppotting will happen soon, and there is hope that if we get any freezing weather, that a heating pad in the coldframe will keep them warm enough. At the present time, they are over heating mats and under LEDs in the garage.

I just got the second round of my tomatoes planted out this past weekend. (I did an earlier round a few weeks ago -- had to re-start seeds after rain swamped about half of mine.)

They're too baby to take pictures of yet but they're growing!
