Christmas tree cutting

My tomatoes grown from seed are set in garden, also cucumbers and lettuce, so I am looking something else to play with. I would like to have some Christmas trees started in pots. Problem is I don't have a seed, not even sure how that seed look like.

Is it possible to grow Christmas tree from cuttings? I have read several sites and opinions are divided. What do you guys think?

you would probably be better off digging up a small tree from the woods and relocating it to a pot. make sure its legal for you to do so, and don't leave a mess.

for seeds, find some pine cones that aren't fully open. i am not sure about when in the season that is. seeds are tucked up inside the woody pieces. they will be brown with a little wing. knock the pine cone against a hard surface, and seeds will fall out if they are in there.

I have never heard of propagation by cuttings of a pine tree?

If you want to try your hand at growing oak trees, I have about three dozen seedling I just evicted from one of my raised beds...😁

Thanks, but I don't have a place for oak tree, yet. :D
I will stick with original plan. It seems extracting seed from pinecone is easier than I thought, just need patience. Just took one on my breakfast break from work and there it was. In next few days I will try to collect more.
