Here are a few pics to start my season...enjoy! I have about 900sq ft area that I call a garden...I love it! :D

Looking great so far. That little bird is adorable...providing he stays away from your tomatoes!

Thanks- I enjoyed looking at your pics. You're making great progress! Let's hope the sweet birdie is just eating bad bugs.

I just found a Carolina wren mama building a nest inside our garden shed today. It's almost finished and she's chosen a stack of old peach baskets on the top shelf. Guess it's better than the one that was built in one of the pea rows a couple of years ago- I felt guilty every day when I had to pick peas.:o

Nice garden! You have a lot of nice structures for vining plants.
Thanks for posting your photos. Darlene

Very nice space. I hope your neighbors aren't garden pests.

Very nice garden and it looks like you have some dark, rich soil. Thank you for posting the pictures and I hope you will keep us updated on the garden's progress

Thanks everyone!

I did have pesky neighbors, until I shared with them a big bowl of Ghost peppers and warned them they were very hot! They never asked for a thing again :D

Great garden and looks like you have some rich soil from the first pic. No red clay?

i had just tilled that area under to expand from 200 sq ft to 900+. my soil is kinda sandy but not bad though. i added 4 truck loads of composted manure in it after that picture was taken.

Salsacharley June 10, 2013 02:39 PM

Very nice and strong looking fruit. Looks like you are about a month ahead of me.

Sharpcheddar June 10, 2013 03:30 PM
