Still Hanging In There
This is a 'Millionaire' eggplant that has been producing since early summer. It's getting long in the tooth, losing some older foliage and putting on new but still making flowers and setting fruit. I've never had one produce this long or as much as this one has. It's made all the eggplant we could eat!

Those look very nice. How have you found the texture and flavour?

Soon to not be hanging in there?

I like Millionaire. They're mild. But to be honest, unless an eggplant's bitter I really can't tell much difference in taste between eggplants. Maybe it's just my palette but to me an eggplant is an eggplant.
This plant has survived an army worm attack earlier and looks a bit worse for the wear but is still producing. I picked the two in the photo and now there are five more, each about 2" long and a lot more flowers. New foliage being set too. First frost will most likely be around Nov 10th. |
Doing well there, GoDawgs!
