covid caterpillar

Some caterpillar just ate one of my INDOOR tomato plants.
Never saw that before in my life.
Must be an import.
I put the tray outdoors just in case it's infested with others.

I don't think it is good to say covid caterpillar and scare people to think covid is involved somehow!

sorry.. thats actually a cut worm.

It escaped by eating a hole in a plastic bag I had him trapped in.
Never saw a cutworm that big.
They usually limit the damage to close to the ground.

not in my garden... they go up the whole plant and chew on every tomato on the plant. a hole here and a hole there and hole over there and two or three on this one... over and over. they will ruin an entire plant of green tomatoes before you realize it.
