I am not sure about yield, but the kudzu, once I put it through the chipper, is so nitrogen rich that my compost pile reached 160 degrees about 24 hours after I mixed the kudzu in it.

Not surprising that your compost pile got so hot, kudzu being in the pea family and all.

With kudzu compost, I can turn a 3 inch oak branch to black dirt in 10 weeks.



I have often thought about grinding and bagging kudzu as a compost additive - the business plan would be to get paid for removing it, and then get paid for selling the bags of kudzu additive. Anyone interested in joining me?
