Tomato Cores??

My wife was canning yesterday and she cut the cores from about 1/4 of the tomatos and put them in the compost pile. Is that right? What would you do?

That is what I do. Even my chickens won't eat them. .

I toss the cores too.

My chickens and turkeys will eat them! So will my dogs. :-)

Yep. Anything that won't go easily thru the food mill goes to the compost pile. Here in the great state of Tennessee,

Well, I guess if it gets fed to the chickens/turkeys, it ends up as compost too. <grin>
