Yay! Very pretty photo, Patty!

What is the history of the pink slicer from your saved seed?

The Pink Slicer has the same orgin as the Yellow Slicer. I had plants of Yellow Slicer, Pink Slicer and Sweetmeat purchased at the Amish greenhouse but the Pink Slicer did not mature in time. I was growing them out to see if they came true from my saved seed. Luckily the saved seed plant matured sooner.

I think I shall give this posting one more try before I forget how I did it! Thanks again, Patty

Last post on the Yellow Slicer(I promise!). It's getting really slow to download!!
Here is a pic my daughter took with her new digital while Yellow Slicer was still on the vine. It took us some time to figure out how to get the pic from her camera to my computer!

Tom.....It means the tomato came from a plant that my Mother purchased at the Amish Greenhouse in the WV/MD area. I know nothing about it's origin other than it's been grown in WV for at least 20-30 years?? I did see some mention of Scarlet Slicer and Orange Slicer on one of the Canadian sites....don't remember which. I only have Yellow Slicer, Pink Slicer but remember in the past of them having a red slicer also.....Patty
