Alma Paprika Pepper from SSE

Was wondering if anyone has grown this pepper, if so, what did you think?

We grew 18 Paprika Supreme plants this year and were pretty happy with it. Very sweet but inconsistent on the mild heat. Some had a little heat, which is what we wanted, others were just sweet. Our intent is to dry and ground for paprika powder. We're not looking for hot, we have plenty of those.

All opinions are appreciated.

Thanks!

One of my all time favorite peppers, but in my opinion pretty thick walled and juicy for drying...I don't always get the same amount of heat, but the flavor of this pepper is always outstanding...I like them best fresh for salads etc. I also dry and grind peppers and I grew Paprika Kalosca Sweet Spice last summer...Nice thin walls and moderate heat...I ordered mine from SSE, but I think I have seen seed offered elsewhwere...Maybe Mariseeds ?

Jeanne, thanks for the info. Does anyone else have suggestions for paprika peppers?

Szeged and Kalocsai are two from the Paprika growing region of Hungary.

I tried them at this fall at the tomato tasting event at SSE and they had a very good flavor and as "montanamato" stated, they would be very good for salads.

I have seed and plan on growing them next year as well.
