Grandpa Willie

Got Grandpa Willie seeds from Tomstrees last year and these are the first four I picked today. I believe the original seed came from Spudleafwillie. Will report back on flavor.

Anxious to try it tonight...

I got my seeds from Spudleafwillie. They are awesome in the flavor department. I would say it is in the top 5 for me too. Grandfather Ashlock is tied in first right now with two others:roll: Soldacki, and Polish. To be honest I have a few favorites..just can't decide yet...maybe the Choptaggers will help me at the tastefest...;)

I should have plenty of seeds to share this fall and winter.

Grandpa Willie was very prolific this year for me and fruits pretty uniform 10 to 16 oz.

Your picture looks right. My fruit had much less catfacing maybe I kept mine pick sooner.

I would say Grandpa Willie is must grow.

The rest of the developing fruit do not have the catfacing as depicted above...I believe they got hit by a brief, but heavy rain and this resulted.

Had a couple with a salad last night...full of good, almost sweet tomatoey flavor. I know realized I forgot to take a sliced pic...will have to get one later.

Agree with Michael...a must grow for anyone. I would like to try the other tom Spudleafwillie has...Grandpa Charlie.
