First Cukes

Pickles just brought in the first two cukes of the season. They're National Picklers.
They will join cherry tomatoes (from the four micro plants), carrots, cabbage, scallions, kale and turnips on the "don't have to buy" list. Life is good.

Those look very nice!

Mine (Sir Crunch a Lot) started blooming today. I'm puzzled, because it seems to have only female flowers. The catalog hadn't described it as gynoecious or parthenocarpic. Source was Park Seeds.
