Finishing touches on homemade gh

I'm just finishing up on my 10 x 16 greenhouse and thought I would share. Used top rail from chain link fencing for the frame and it tuned out fine. I can't wait to get it stocked.

Very nice! Did you use any special tool to bend the top rail? I've seen them sold.

Very interesting and looks good too. What is the height of the GH? And how did you anchor the wood door frame and other wood framing if its not part of the arched structural support?

I did purchase a tubing bender that is made just for bending this type of tubing. Very inexpensive. It's height is about 7.5'. The framing for the door is screwed to the metal framing.

Very nice! You are going to love it for your seedlings.:!:

Looking good!

Did you use plans or just wing the assembly? Either way I'm very impressed and looking forward to seeing what you grow in it. :)

Can you tell us a little more about your exhaust fan and do you have a heater?

What kind of plastic are you using?

The bender came with instructions on bending the tubing. You can get the tubing at lowes or HD in 10' 6'' lengths. . If you put 2 sections together you have a perfect 10' wide section. The exhaust fan is just a attic fan I already had. I have installed a fresh air vent in the bottom of the greenhouse to use with a non-vent gas heater. The plastic is green house grade UV treated.

Really looks fantastic.

Do you have a brace down the center --can't tell from the photos?

What did you use to attach the 2 lengths together? Did you bend them before putting them together or after?

How did you figure out how much to bend them to fit your 10' width?

Finally, how did you connect the metal rails to your wood frame that makes up the base?

Sorry about the 3rd degree but you really did a nice job.:)

Excellent job Jerry. I had hoped to get started on my greenhouse this past weekend but never got around to it.
