Deer Problems Answer?

I was looking up info for a couple Esperanza plants we bought today, and somehow found this site http://www.bhg.com/gardening/flowers/bulbs/beautiful-bulbs-deer-and-rabbits-dont-eat/

They could be a way to keep deer and rabbits away from your garden?

Those bulbs are very deer resistant, but go dormant when the weather warms up, so I don't think they will be around when you need them. Daffodils and alliums are in the onion family if that is any help.

Hey,I bet they're goat proof too?

I have all but the Daffodil's growing. I also plant garling in my flower beds. The Crown Imperial and Fritillaria both smell like skunk. You do not want to plant them too close to your windows! The deer do avoid these plants, but they will still come by. I planted them not just for the deer, but to try to make the soil less habitable for the voles and mice. The plants do only grow in the spring and then go dormant, but the smell stays in the soil all year. These are good to plant around plants favored by rodents and deer, but of course are not fail-safe. I can say that I have much less damage than prior to planting these

Deer definitely hate onions. They don't eat okra where I live, but other people on here have said the deer ate their okra.

I planted some okra outside the garden that the deer ate, but I think I know why. It was during the drought years and there was very little green vegetation for them to eat.
