southern help with soilless mix
 

Now that I am beginning to think about starting seeds and my medium is soilless mix like Miracle-Gro and its equivalent. I like the largest size bag; how is the supply? Mostly I purchase at big box stores since it is usually cheaper there and plentiful for the most part.

Anybody notice supply chain problems? I have a small left over bag for seed starting but need to replenish our raised beds and need 5 or 6 bags.

Since It does not have any dirt, you have to make sure your plants stay medium watered.
The key is to provide enough water to allow for constant vegetative growth, but not enough that the medium stays moist. You must Water your plants thoroughly, letting the medium dry out just enough so it is not constantly wet throughout.

Yes, I notice the shortest in Garden Supply in January as Me and My husband have to recover from a storm destroying some of my farming supplies. I loaded up on supplies because I had to fix the wind damage ourselves. A nice neighbor returns some of our Planting pots, Amen!!

But your Soilless should be good.
Just keep your soil medium water, and do not let your plants dry out Amen!!

Condition your plants with this new soilless to outside water more than normal times, before planting. If I was you, I would put a "little dirt water from the dirt in your garden" in your planting soilless a week before transplanting. or when your plants get bigger.

This is very good for new farmers and people who want to grow their own food supply.

The original question seemed to ask if others are noticing short supplies of mix.

In my area, no. But I may get some just in case; the season is just about to begin here. It's not like it goes bad.
