Egyptian Chamomile

Does anyone have seeds for Egyptian Chamomile? It doesn't seem to be available from seed companies, although it's popularity as a tea seems to be growing.

I think what you want is Anthemis nobilis seeds which are easy to find.

Anthemis nobilis Roman chamomile tends to be bitter and is a perennial.

Matricaria recutica is known as German chamomile tends to be sweeter and is an annual.

There is no real Egytain chamomile it is just where it is grown and the soil and climate that makes it popular.

I hope this helps.

Hey Worth,

Looks like it is "Roman Chamomile" that I want, although this site says that it is originally from Egypt. And the tea that made me want to grow it (at the linked site) is imported from Egypt.

But, it sure isn't bitter, and so that makes me wonder if I need to find something more specific than the general variety of Anthemis nobilis out there...

If you look at the cursive writing below the top picture in your link it says "Anthemis nobilis" which is roman chamomile.I read someplace that Anthemis nobilis was changed to Chamaemelum nobile.
So they are both the same thing.
Either way you cant go wrong.
Then when you scroll down you see Matricaria recutica

They even give you the soil type and ph.
