Do Poblanos take longer to germinate

I've planted jalapeno, giant moreno and poblano and poblano is a no show after both of the others have emerged.

Do they take longer or require different planting mix?

My notes in 2017 show 14 days for Poblano, I don't use a mat, just the top the fridge. Which for me is typical.

I have found that they take 11-20 days to come up. Not to discourage anyone from growing them - I just haven't had a lot of luck growing big ones.

I love Poblano peppers but would rather buy them when I need them or in the dried Ancho form.

My Poblanos were all 9-12 days last year. Jalapeños ran the range of 8-20 days.
Seed age can also influence the time. No special mixes needed.

I have no idea what the boys are experiencing with this on my huge estates in Mexico.
I will have to ask them.

Not for me. My Jalapeno and Ancho were the same as my bells this year. About a week give or take.
Heat mat near a window until most germinated then I stopped the heat. Under lights now at two weeks.

My mild jalapeno and anchos have't germinated yet, but the sweet and bell types popped this morning. I tipped the tray over trying to get the newbies into the window sill. Fortunately the hot pepper insert was on the outside and remained intact, so there won't be any confusion with the sweets that I gently replanted. I'll report back when I see the hots and as always be very careful with the tray haha.
