Good News

Thanks!
I just spoke with Lee on the phone and he is aware of the problem with his site, but he's got so much going on right now that he won't be able to get it straightened out for a couple more days. He's got huge amounts of ripe produce to harvest by himself for this weekend so he has to deal with that first. He wants everybody to know that he appreciates the concern and is sorry for the delay.
No problem; we'll wait.

Thanks Charley. I appreciate the call and everyone's patience. Hackers got into the site and left quite a mess. All sort of files were damaged. I rebuilt the catalog on my home computer and need to upload it successfully to the server. I should get that done this weekend.
Otherwise it is tuning out to be a good year. The rains have finally started and I packed boxes and boxes of tomatoes for market in the morning, I think there are some 85 varieties ripe now. Once things are back to normal, I'll post some photos. I hope you all are having a great season and I look forward to getting back on T'ville to talk tomatoes.

Thanks, Lee. I'm sorry to hear you got hacked, but I'm glad it's nothing more serious.

Looking forward to buying some more Ambrosia cherry seeds even though I won't be able to do anything with them until next year!

I believe I have things working again. There may be a gap in the customer lists, but I will attempt to fix that. There may be glitches in ordering. I won't know until someone tries, so let me know if you run into problems. The new link is http://www.jandlgardens.com/xencart, also reachable from the farm website. Thank you all so much for your support and patience. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
Now I need to get out there and finish hoeing the chile before it gets dark!

I placed an order tonight and received notice that it was packed and ready to ship. So the site is working as it should.

Hi Nan,

No, the website is still up. It's just the email server at GoDaddy never works properly because they are always changing things. I should set something up through Wordpress on the site. You can always contact me at goodwin@operamail.com.
Anyway, I am busy harvesting a ton of seed. I have a number of varieties from the New Mexico State University chile trails and I also participated in the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance ancient grain trials. There are cups of tomato seed fermenting on every horizontal surface. I hope in another week or two to make all this stuff available. Thanks for getting in touch. And thanks to Charlie again for a heads-up.
I hope you all are enjoying a good season!

I've been out of touch for a while, but wanted people here to know our new varieties are up for 2019. For the last couple seasons I've focused mostly on native chile, corn and beans, but the catalog has a number of additions to the list of tomatoes.
We have quite a bit of snow in the mountains which means the acequias should have water to last the summer. It looks like it will be a good year. The best of luck to all of you in the new season!

Godwin, you sent me Wild Tiger a couple of years ago as a free sample. I grew them in 2018. WOW! The flavor is AWESOME! Lots of it, with sweetness and tartness and complexity.

Thanks Nan - Wild Tiger is a good one. People really liked them at the Farmers Market. I have a couple more from that line I ought to release.
This is the Wild Tiger sliced.

We have our new varieties for 2020 up at J&L Gardens. If there is anything people would like to try, you can contact me at goodwin'at'operamail.com for samples.
Though I've been remiss in posting here for some time, I will feel the loss of this forum. It was my introduction to a number of remarkable people (like Carolyn) whose wisdom and patience I will always treasure. I wish you all the best of holidays and the best of luck in the garden this year.
