Help with DIY EarthBox tomato cage/trellis
Hi! I was wondering if anyone would share their diy EarthBox cage or trellis solutions.
I would like the boxes to be moveable, if possible. Thank you inn advance for your help. |
I use concrete enforcement wire "remesh": form it into a circle using the long edge and ziptie; then cut out a few of the squares, forming a notch, so it rests on the ground and over the earthbox. I will try to take a picture and post it.

Here's an intro to Raybo's Earthbox designs. He's got a lot of info and he's very successful. You can do searches for his stuff in Tomatoville.

Thanks Hl,
I like to keep the earthboxes off the ground and with a brick underneath it happens to fit just right. I tried the Raybo ones but i wanted to stake the cages to the ground. They have worked out pretty good. I am happy with the rustoleum paint job, though the first attempt with spray paint used 3 cans. I went with paint rollers since it's what I had but I think I wasted a lot of paint; and I wasn't going to buy a paint sprayer. |
Thank you your replies, I appreciate it!
