Your statement is an oxymoron.
Quality without breaking bank.

How much do you want to spend, how long of a hose does it need to hold and will it mount on the wall or sit on the ground?
Then there is the quality hose question itself.
You need a quality hose.

This one looks good only $69.00 and shipping is free.

I have 2 that are self rewinding by water pressure- I wouldn't have anything else. They hold 100ft of 1/2" hose, which is all I use because of the light weight of the 1/2" (it is lifetime hose that I bought online years ago- ) at my age it would tear me up to rewind every time I had to. I can't find info right now, but one came from Lowes and one from Home Depot- about $90.

I plan on having a Lifetime type hose. Very well made and not have to buy again. One with a Grantee on it. I like the Reel you posted that is the type I am looking for! Thanks for the link Worth! Beale.

I have two of the Eley reels, one stand, one wall mounted. Built like a tank.

I had one of those in NC! You are right! Built like a Tank! Beale.

Mine have the logo "no-crank" on them- but I have had them for about 6 years- I see there are others that rewind by water pressure--they are back savers for sure! Well worth the cost.

I would say so.

About the time you think you know everything something else comes along.
I had no idea they made such a thing.

I have the Eley on wheels. Best hose reel on the market so far as I am concerned. More expensive than a Menards or Home Depot style but well worth the money.

JoParrott March 7, 2015 11:18 PM

Paul, is it a self winding? I would not want to crank the hose ever again after having the auto rewind!

The Eley is not self winding. I had one also! I wish I still had it! Beale.
