Boutique Tomatoes progress

Still plugging away, but getting closer the past few years. I've just about rounded out my color palate and am working on disease resistance and enhanced shelf life genetics now.

I do have one cherry line at F5 that I think is a OP release candidate. I don't know that it has any significant disease resistance, but the flavor and appearance are winners with the people who've tried it. These have the gs + Aft combination where the antho appearance is more concentrated in the stripes so on these 'white' lines they actually do show as purple.

I taste stonefruit, where my buddy who walks the field and tastes with me says he thinks it has a smoky taste. (but he wants to smoke everything, so that may just how his taste buds interpret good flavor)

I selected 2 plants this year for a larger grow out for the F6 generation next year.

My current working name is Magenta Snow, a nod to Purple Rain... ;)

I have never seen that type of striped antho on white before. Really stunning.

A few years ago I noticed some of my lines had a tendency for the antho to concentrate in the stripes and I started selecting for that trait in a few of them. The white cherry line is where I think it is best expressed. One of this year's F1 lines is a cross with an earlier generation of this and a striped rin/rin cherry line that I am anxious to see the F2's from, I was potentially sending it south to be grown out this winter.

This picture is of a different F1 trial from this season with a red slicer line and a yellow cocktail line that has the accumulation in the stripes; it's still being expressed in the F1 so I'm anxious to see if I can get more diverse parent lines with the traits fixed.
