Strawberries in Northern Rockies

1 Attachment(s)
I live at 6000 feet in the Norther Rockies and would like to grow strawberries in a raised bed with a low tunnel. Looking for advise and suggestion for specific strawberries.

Whoose, I too am 6000 but south of you and while I haven't grown in a low tunnel, I have grown quite a few kinds. My favorite by far has been Sparkle. Doesn't keep too well, not huge berries, but the best flavor by far! June bearing.
try Norse Nursery for great quality and pricing.

Ft Laramie is supposed to be very cold hardy. I grow it in Omaha. No tunnel.

I can send seeds of some European Alpine strawberry varieties doing well in any growing conditions. Small fruited and sweet.
February-March is the best time to start strawberry seeds indoor.
