2017 MMMM Spoiler Alert

Read no further, if you want most of your MMMM varieties to remain a mystery.

For those that want to post what they'll be sending in, this is the thread. Only post what you have, not what you "expect" to have, as some people make their wish lists from this thread.

Kitayskiy Oksamitoviy is pink (not blue). I'm growing it this year. Very fuzzy plant, even on the fruit.

Tormato July 17, 2017 02:45 PM

Looks like it was labeled wrong, coming in. It seems to be described as having woolly blue-green foliage, though.

NarnianGarden July 17, 2017 04:52 PM

Excellent idea to list the 'left-overs', to show what is available right now.

How does all this work?

twillis2252 July 17, 2017 08:25 PM

Hope to begin picking in the next 2-3 weeks. Located in the NC mountains so I am later than most. Enjoyed participating in last years swap and looking forward to this year.

AlittleSalt July 17, 2017 08:46 PM

I have Anna Aasa seeds saved, but I need to do a germination test.

here is a link to the main thread from last year.

http://tomatoville.com/showthread.php?t=42196&highlight=Swap

That will give you a good idea of how it works. Keep an eye out for the MMM Swap threads for 2017 in the Discussion section. Takes along time to get everything set up, so have patience. Actual swap really doesn't start off until sometime in Oct.

This thread only folks that want a peek at goodies coming in look here. Lots of folks want to be surprised, so keep your eye on the 2017 threads. Swap has tomatoes, peppers, loads of beans and some other things too. Get you pen and paper and start making your Wish list.

If you don't have enough seed for a certain category, ask, there usually plenty of folks around to sponsor other folks.

Just ask questions in the regular threads and folks will help you along. :D

I have 4 more varieties put on the drying plates today. I don't want to write their names here until I do the germination tests. - just in case.

I will ask for any FFFN hybrid seeds when I send in my wish list.

HudsonValley July 18, 2017 06:53 PM

I've got a bunch of Tiny Tim seeds ready to go. It's a micro-dwarf red cherry introduced in 1945 that was surprisingly tasty and that grew well on my office windowsill. My other varieties are still pending...

Gary, I have a big problem with Pink Princess
You sent me one seed with the order to save seeds for the MMMM. It grew into a big and strong plant.
Now the problem is, I cant resist eating them.....8-) they are sooooooo good !!!! Everytime there is a ripe one, I say to myself; I only eat this one and then save seeds on the next one... ;) but I keep saying it..... what can I do? They always just disappear.....

charline July 21, 2017 04:52 AM

Please reserve the black moor for me, thanks

:roll:Try cutting one in half, squeeze out the seeds from one half, eat that half. If it doesn't taste as good, then eat the other half without squeezing out the seeds.

Except even if the first half doesn't taste as good that way, squeeze the second half anyways! LOL. :panic:

www.dreschflegel-shop.de calls it a cocktail tomato.

I know people who eat beefsteaks with their cocktails, so take that with a grain of salt.

HudsonValley July 21, 2017 10:02 PM

Oh, I would love to grow Tim's Black Ruffles next year... Do you take reservations? :)

I have Jablonelistnij seeds drying. A beefsteak shaped yellow cherry with an exceptional taste.

NarnianGarden July 23, 2017 04:47 AM

It looks like everything is already available in Tormato's storage, no need for me to send anything :?:

Starlight July 23, 2017 11:55 AM
It looks like everything is already available in Tormato's storage, no need for me to send anything :?:
Sure there is! There always loads of folks who new and don't have anything or very little, plus those listed might only have few seeds in them and that way, folks might get a few more seeds.

NarnianGarden July 23, 2017 01:27 PM

yes Starlight, I'm only (half) joking. There will be plenty of varieties on the wish list, I'm sure.
But it's good to see what already is there so I won't send any of those same ones (again)...

imp July 23, 2017 03:39 PM

Please re-read Tormato's, some on those lists are just 1 packet, see the numbers in ()?

habitat_gardener July 23, 2017 11:17 PM
Please reserve the black moor for me, thanks
