I'm finding my tomatoes are huge and beautiful this year but less intense in flavor than last year, when they had much more stressful conditions and had way more problems with cracking and splitting.

As it turns out, the new seed is not looking to be Black Krim. Hopefully I can get back true seed for next year. It's one of my favorites! :(
Awesome pictures! Love to see pictures of your ripe Black Krim when they are ready! Will start my seeds here in FL next weekend. Will have my first ripe fruit by 11/10 or 12/10..depends on pests, disease or weather issues. :)
Still nice pictures of your group of tomatoes and I'm sure they are still excellent tomatoes to slice and eat. I love fresh tomatoes with breakfast..eggs and sausage omelets. Also love sliced tomatoes with cottage cheese. I'm growing Black Krim again this year. I have new seeds from another vendor. I hope they are true Black Krim. Will keep u posted..also try Owen's Purple. Another awesome black tomato well worth growing..at least it was for me this last season. :)

pinklady, let us know if the "surprise" is a good one. They look nice!

I had a pink tomato yesterday and it was fantastic which was surprising because earlier fruit from my garden, like others in the area, have been on the bland side. If I could only remember which plant I picked it from. I have to pay closer attention this time and mark the ones coming from the not-Black Krim plant. Glad you are getting tasty once.

I agree with all. This year tomatoes ripened later than two previous years and first were a bit sour/bland. Even my cherry are not as sweet as should be.
Last year at this time I picked three times as many fruits. Disappointed.

Just hoping fall would be kind to us and let us pick some more.
