!!!STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!!

Do people buy the green tomatoes for fried green tomatoes? Good seller?

Your produce and plants look great!

Jeff

not a stupid question, but yes... fried green tomatoes.

Ah, sweet success and harvest. I'll see lots of green tomatoes traveling North soon.
Some early varieties do especially well fried green.

It is a Southern thing as well as North EasternShore. Good pairing with early zucchini
flowers here.

I'm getting a few raspberries enough for breakfast. Not much else but rhubarb and
chives.

Looks great, your harvest. :)

BigVanVader June 25, 2017 09:15 PM

Nice! Whats your favorite cuke for production so far?

those are Albion berries. We grow them in the high tunnel with plasticulture. not huge yields at a time but consistent.

"Nice! Whats your favorite cuke for production so far?"

ummm, can't really say. last year I grew EZ pick gold and EZ pick green along with a striped/mottled zuke. they all produced well. this year I am growing cashflow and goldrush? not sure about the yellow. these are all in the high tunnel. so far, not copious amounts .

Very impressive! Love the Beit Alpha cukes.

Ricky Shaw June 26, 2017 07:39 AM

Lol, I meant cucumbers. Those look like Cornito maybe..I'm thinking I may try them next year.

Pretty table, Carolyn.

clkeiper June 26, 2017 07:58 AM

I misread bvv's question
..I answered for zukes not cukes. This is glass and garden from crimes hort. and the other I forget right now...but another seed from crimes hort. I think the glass and garden variety is really muncher...but not sure. That is my next crop to go in. No favorites at this point.
