Time to pick some tomatoes

Figured it was time to post up some pics of my tomatoes, the last week our family has enjoyed them. Today some harvest pics as many know this was the first year I've grown indeterminate tomato varieties. The Jet Star & Big Boy (2 plants each) were grown in Walmart bags that can hold up to 7 gal. of potting mix. Anyway took a few pics today of my tomatoes and peppers. Its been a great year here for growing as both insects & disease have not been a problem.

Some nice looking veggies you have there. : ) Which did you like the taste better of, Jet Star or Big Boy? I haven't grown it yet, but I have heard alot of people say they like the taste of Jet Star. Wondered how they compared.

What bell pepper is that? I always get envious when I see folks with bell peppers. I can grow the hots in a heartbeat, but my bells are a sad looking excuse for a pepper. ; )

To be honest the Jet Star are just a bit tastier but there so close next time I enjoy a Big Boy I might say it was. I'm growing 2 varieties of bell peppers California Wonder and these are the North Star red bell peppers I picked today. The North Star were developed to grow well in the northern climates and the 2 plants has approximately 5 or 6 large peppers on each plant I picked 2 that were finally red today (Yes you can pick em green) the wife wanted me to wait till they turned. Of the 2 plants I have to give the nod to the North Star for my area N.E. Wisconsin
