serious tomato harvest. Rather than a few dribbles now it is baskets. Photo of today's pickings.

I see sauce in the future lol. Great harvest

Looks great. Pretty tomatoes and doesn't look like any cracking either.

kilroyscarnival September 13, 2019 04:52 PM

That merits a "Boom!"

Look great Paul, a lot of mine are cracking so I am picking early. What is your secret??

The Lone Squash.

Looks fantastic.

SpookyShoe September 14, 2019 09:04 PM

Do I see some hearts in that mix?

PaulF September 14, 2019 11:13 PM

Actually with the extra rain we have received there is some cracking so I do harvest earlier than usual.

I always grow at least 25% hearts. Never ate a heart I didn't love.

Beautiful harvest, Paul! Glad to see it after the challenging weather earlier this year. :)

I know the feeling Paul. I have been so busy picking and processing peaches and tomatoes that I haven't been posting, and seldom reading more than thread titles.

I've had lettuce ready to plant for a month now. More 90's again this week.

Great looking harvest, Paul. What's going to become of them?

PaulF September 16, 2019 11:18 PM

That group was given away to friends and neighbors (not always the same, smile). The next bunch, about the same amount, has been taken to the local post office where folks pick them up and take them home. We are set to freeze another batch.

AlittleSalt September 17, 2019 01:22 AM

Paul, that looks wonderful. I was going to write something about giving away tomatoes, and your post #12 - it made me want to post thread even more. Sometimes, it's takes a little motivation. Thank you.

tryno12 September 17, 2019 01:37 AM

Paul, I do the same minus the Post Office ( mail carrier gets all my extra seedlings ) - probably 200#'s +++ given away and some for freezer and plenty to eat:lol::lol:

Salt - with my 70 varieties and 100++ plants , do you realize how many times I have said to myself " a little salt " lately trying to sort out the winners for next yrs grow:)):)):))
