Show us photos of Mocha Splash(Not Chocolate Stripes)

Hi to all,
The release of Mocha Splash (previously called Not Chocolate Stripes) was at F6, mostly but maybe not completely stable. It has always been a branching sort if semi multiflora , with 3 to 6 oz beefsteak fruit, some striping, and delicious flavor. The main color was sort of a milk chocolate, and sometimes the striping was more like streaking than actual Stripes until the last generation. Always a potato leaf. Won't you please put up photos of what you have grown from these seeds.

I didn't think I had any pictures of ripe ones, but I do. Mine are less bumpy than yours (at least the ones in the picture), very round. In the pic with the baskets on the table, there's a basket with 3 or 4 of them, a couple might be GGWT, but at least the most visible are Mocha Splash. The picture of the mostly green one and the sandwich are the same tomato. The first ripe one. A great tasting tomato.

I think yours look pretty much like mine. The color and striping overall shape and taste pretty much uniform. Thank you so much for the photos which are excellent.

dry stripes

It was delicious but the stripes tend to dry out and make the fruit less appealing.

This looks more like the one my friend got as a segregate, copper colored. I haven't seen vertical scarring on any of the others. I believe the scarring is what you are talking about with dry stripes? Thank you for this posting.

I believe these are your seeds. I sent some of my multiplying shallots to Kath and she kindly shared some of her seed stash. You provide a great service for Tomatovillians

Bill!

Thank you so much, and yes they are my seeds.

Mine don’t have any green striping. There is a very subtle streaking
In the skin giving the overall appearance of a coppery red brown.
Haven’t cut mine yet. Bill’s look similar but hard to tell for sure
Interesting

I grew this last year from Marsha's seed, but my plant got TSWV after only producing a few fruit. At any rate, here are a few of what I grew- and are more similar to KarenO's fruit. Very faint visible stripes, and the color I observed was a very pretty mocha color, and not as purple as CP or NPS. It was extremely productive, and flowered like crazy- but darn the TSWV! I yanked the plant early. The flavor was excellent!

It must be tasty to the thrips Darin--I lost two the same way.

The survivor shows why Marsha is proud of this one.

Darin, mine didn't have stripes until this last season. Those look just like what I got last year.

Cut one:
Interior colour a brown-red. Gel is red as well. Epidermis is clear although looks like it would be yellow from the exterior.
Unusual colour imo. Taste of this one salty tangy not very sweet. Can’t judge from just one so will taste others before deciding

It looks nice, I like that red gel too. Mine have always been sweet, maybe yours will come up sweeter later. Do you have any photos of the clusters on the plant?
