CHOPPING UP TOMATILLO PLANTS !

I had two tomatillo plants that were about 18" tall, but growing so closely that they were actually comming from one hole :( .
I knew it was impossible but I tried in vain to seperate them under running water.
Yea..... not even CLOSE!
Finally I just took a sharp knife and sliced the root ball right down the center.
48 hours later the plants still look like a million bucks!!
They never even "pouted" for a minute!
These are some HEARTY plants!!!!!
These are picts from a few weeks ago.....
I cut out the weakest one
