OP Eggplant similar to Fairy Tale

I don't care that it LOOKS like FT, but I'm looking for a small OP variety.

I'm looking for something similar in size, and productivity, with decent taste.

Pot Black is one I've seen in TGS as well as Little Fingers, but I cannot find much info on them.

Any info or other suggestions?

Thanks!

Donna

Hi...the one I would recommend isn't elongated like the fairytale you are looking for, but round mauve is excellent. They are small and can fit in your hand. Productive. What I like about them is they are not bitter. I don't like eggplant that tastes bitter.

I havent tried too many eggplants, but I like this one.

I am growing little fingers this season. I will let you know how it is...gotta wait a few months.

Round mauve sounds perfect! I wasn't necessarily looking for something in the shape of FT, just a small eggplant. Is it easy to grow and save seed from?

butting in a bit here, sorry. Can I ask how big is the round mauve plant gets? is it a bushy plant?

It gets about a foot in a half- 2 feet, sometimes a little more. Bushy? I don't know if it be considered bushy, but you could plant in a container.

Can I save eggplant seeds to grow from fairy tale or round mauve? Or must I buy seeds from commercial sources?
