Mild Garlic?

I would like to find a garlic that is mild--and dosent linger for hours.
Is there such a thing? and if I threw in pretty, would it be useless to try to find?

Elephant garlic is milder.

Maybe Nootka Rose? I haven't tried it but Tom thought it was real mild. Might be tough to find seed garlic this late in the season.

pretty? :?

i think chamiskuri is mild, too mild for my taste. i like it really hot where it burns your tongue and mouth to where you cry and you think it's eating a hole in your mouth. ok that's a bit too hot but i like assertive flavors. i would suggest you do not grow german red as it is really a hot garlic in my garden. i think when garlic is fresh out of the ground it is really hot and mellows a bit as it stores. when starting to sprout the green shoot is hot while the white is not.

go to http://wegrowgarlic.com and read all the various varieties they have. some will be milder than others. you can email them too and they'll recommend varieties that you'd prefer. i'm sure it's too late to buy any but the ones they might have left perhaps would be the mildest?
