This looks like a good price. I wish I could figure out how to post the picture. Barb |
That looks way too good to be true.
For 1 thing I've never seen a "case" of any kind of inserts in a 150. They are always 100 or 50. For another thing, the price was too good even at the old price of 44.62, let alone 24.50. Even if they are a discontinued size as I think they are. With the price of oil right now flats and inserts are high. I just got a case of 100 1801s on Wednesday from my local supplier and it was $71. As much as I like a deal, something about that just doesn't seem right. Carol |
I believe they manufacture their own products. I just received a case of 4 inch deep pots and only paid $80.86 for a case of 1375 pots. They were light weight but serve my needs. They were stamped McConkey on the bottom. I suppose they can determine a case to be whatever size if they are manufacturing and not just distributing. I was very happy with my purchase and now receive notifications of specials via e mail so thought I would pass it on.

$40.00 shipping for 1 case, pass also

It looks like shipping depends how close they are to you. They are located in Washington state. I ordered a large box of 4 inch deep pots containing 1375 pots and paid 23.00 shipping on $80.00 and that was a heavy box. But this does seem high on 4 packs. Sorry I should not of posted without a disclaimer depending on where you live. A case of 150 with shipping is $54.00 for me and a case of 100 with shipping is $70.00 at Greenhouse Mega Store.

and greenhousemega store has switched manufactures to T O plastics, which are flimsy and sometimes very oily. unlike the inserts from landmark plastics they used to sell, which were good quality.

This is still a good lead. It gave me an option for free will call pickup in garden grove.
And those 3 in are the size that I like to grow to before planting out Thanks |
If you live my direction or within driving distance and like a nce country drive to or through Amish country... There is a supplier in Fredricksburg Ohio that is Amish owned (so no phone or internet...sorry, you have to write for a catalog) But their dillen inserts run 45.95 per 100 case. sizes 1201, 1206, 806, 1204, 1203,804, 1202 and 1801's. Lightweight flats are 21.95/50 and heavy duty flats are 87.50/100. This is the 10 1/2 x 21" size, not the true 10x20

Nolt's is still the cheapest I have been able to find most of my supplies:
http://www.noltsproducesupplies.net/ Prices and skus are usually identical for Nolt's Midwest produce supplies in Iowa. They always have good shipping rates, are honest and fast. Amish as well. |
