I've found very little that actually can't be potted up, pres-tared or transplanted. For those who like to get up close and personal with the things they grow, it's the perfect thing to do (aside from the practicality of it all!). This year I am having a good time and good luck starting beets from seeds and then separating them out for later transplanting - so good spacing, less weeding, hopefully more uniform, larger roots.
