Not sure it this directly answers your question, but practically speaking, I don't generally have many disease problems with peppers, fungal or otherwise -- and they even get some overspray from my sprinkler system once every 5-7 days or so. I do mulch heavily and they are usually planted in 5-10 gal containers. As far as pests go, spider mites and aphids will sometimes attack them, but I find this happens much less frequently than with tomatoes (at least in my climate).
