Wendy, so far the ones I have tasted (about half) have been pretty good, not outstanding, but good. I am definitely saving some for re-planting next year.

Richard, I confess to having hosed them off - they were pretty muddy (wet year) and just left them to dry on the grass for an hour or so. In a normal year, they don't need cleaning. Have never had a problem with storage even after a quick rinse, no scrubbing of course!
